Embedded License Plate Recognition System

Bluecard LPR camera is embedded system is dedicated to take photo, recognition, analyze and control, which optimize cost of 

system and increase the reliability and performance. 

High Definition Camera

Bluecard LPR camera has 3-megapixel (2048×1536) resolution. 

Master-Slave System

Use master – slave model to take images of license plate. Both cameras can take photos. The master camera applies embedded 

arbitrate algorithm to select the best results to control the parking system. The slave camera is mainly for assistance. This system 

brings up a solution for wide entrance and bad angle situations.

License Plate Focus & Exposure Technology

Bluecard camera is focusing on number plate, meanwhile it automatically and continuing expose license plate area, which brings 

the optimum exposure results. In addition, camera adjusts exposure parameters and fill-in lights based on the feedback information 

from focusing area that is the way to increase recognition rate.

License Plate Distortion Adjustment 

Multi-color space technique is used to detect color of plate, so camera can focus on the right area to obtain angle of plate and 

landscape distortion ratio. We can get over 99% recognition rates with maximum angle of 25°and safety angle 15°.

Recognition Algorithm: Neural Network + Feature Recognition

This algorithm can distinguish various types of plates. The recognition rate with numbers and letters is up to 99.2%, with Chinese 

characters up to 98%.
